The other evening, at the Toyobijin no Kai, an employee of Nakashima Sake shop mentioned that I should try to put together a sake group for foreign residents. I wasn’t so sure about it myself, since there just aren’t that many around these parts, I have no idea how popular sake is with the local foreign community, and I have very little connection to the group in general.
But the idea kept niggling at me, so here’s my attempt: I’m launching The Yamaguchi Sake Lovers on Meetup.com! Naturally, this is for anyone who’s interested in the local Yamaguchi sake scene, not just foreign residents.
My plan is, if I can gather members, to schedule sakagura tours, maybe some classes, and of course try lots of local brews.
